starting today, mineseye is starting a new chapter!
mineseye have been recording for quite some time, but the question of how to release the music we have made, and to reach the people who want to hear it has always been something we've considered.
recently the smashing pumpkins announced that they would release new material free, in addition to periodic ep's collecting those songs and other extras. we liked that idea, and so, if this is a model of how bands will release music in the future, we thought we'd step up to the challenge and try it out ourselves.
so, beginning today, we will be releasing four songs a month, absolutely for free. the songs will be available for download at mineseyemusic.com. free. no strings attached. you don't have to tell us who you are. you don't have to give us your credit card number so we can verify your age. free. just click on the links below and download!
if you like what you hear, you're in luck, because we intend to keep doing this for the next eleven months!
if you really like what you hear, and you'd like to show your support, at the end of each month we will be offering limited edition ep's of the month's songs, with customized art, video footage, and extra musical content for sale. the details for this are being finalized, but we should have that up here soon too.
when we reach the end of the eleven month period, all of the songs will be compiled into a deluxe package, which will also be made available for sale.
this is a big step for us. it is the music that we have been writing for some time, and we're sure to find new music as we go through this process, and look forward to sharing it with you. all that we ask is that as we share with you, tell people about what we are doing and ask them to share in this journey with us.

mineseye will be playing their first live show of 2009 at the trilogy concert club (83 kennedy rd s in brampton) on friday february 20th. the show is all ages, with tickets at the door. other bands playing that night include futures past, hello kelly, rosedale and more. come out and support the brampton scene!

welcome to 2009! hope you had a good holiday season!
just a quick 'hello, were still here' from mineseye! you haven't seen a lot of us, but we've been very busy and i just wanted to give you an update of what we've been doing, and what's coming up.
first of all, we've been hard at work recording what will become our first album. we've got more than a half a dozen songs recorded, with more on the way. once we're done, you'll be hearing a lot more from us!
next, for those of you who have seen us live, you know what we can do. for those that haven't we're going to be doing some filming very soon to show you what we've been up to. keep your eyes peeled.
once all of that is done, we'll be coming out to see you on stages all over the place! in the meantime, if you want to drop us a line go ahead! we read everything we get, and if there's something you want to know, we're just an email away!

there haven’t been a lot of updates recently, but that is because we have been hard at work!
first off, after the amicable departure of original band member rob brusso in mid 2007, mineseye has had a kind of rotating drum stool (thanks to derek and walter for being there), but we have now added a new piece to the mineseye puzzle … daniel riggi. more news to come on daniel as we update his details here on the site.
in other news, we’ve been hard at work recording! we hope to share the fruits of our labour in the very near future.

mineseye will be performing as part of the playmusic festival on sunday august 19th 2007 presented by supernova entertainment. the show is an all day event at the playdium entertainment complex in mississauga (99 rathburn rd west). this event is an all ages concert featuring cancerbats, apathy unseen, buried with the broken, charge the gates, destain, fear of romance and more! tickets are $20 and include a full day of music and a free two hour power play card (a $22 value!).

thank you to everyone who came out to our most recent show at the reverb in support of paragon’s effigy promotion! thanks to mike and lital for having us!
those of you who came to our last show at the reverb might have noticed a change on stage, that is a change to mineseye as well.
rob brusso, the drummer who has sat on mineseye’s drum stool from the start, recently departed the group due to commitments outside of the band. this isn’t one of those musical difference things, but he’s moving on to other things, and we will certainly miss him! good luck rob!
with rob’s blessing, the mineseye drum chair is being filled by derek verdonck, a good friend and drummer from glorothy. he filled that chair incredibly at the reverb show, and we’re hoping to play with him again in the near future.

just a quick update! thanks to everyone who came out to see us at the el mo! it was a different show for us (as rob was quite ill just prior to the show and we had to do it without the man!) but we had fun and hoped that you did too!

so where have we been! it’s been a while and once again mineseye have been busy.
a late thanks to everyone that came out on the 23rd of march to watch us rock the revival on behalf of paragon entertainment’s xposure series. we came out in the top two which means you’ll get another chance to see us at the revival on april 27th! drop us a line for more details.

its been a while since the last update, and for that mineseye apologizes! we’ve certainly been busy, with two shows recently at lees palace and the seven star, photos from which will be up on the site shortly! thanks to dante and jeff (respectively!) for having us and we hope to work again together soon!

hello hello,
sorry for the delay, but things have once again been hectic in the mineseye world!
first off, thanks to everyone who came out to watch us shine at the el mocambo last friday! we played to a second place finish in the latest bandwars edition put on by the good folks at supernova and the cameras were there from startv to catch it all!! december fifth people!
secondly, thanks to everyone who came out to the smiling buddha on monday as we played a showcase for toronto exclusive magazine! photos from the show should be up soon!

the latest in mineseye news!
thanks to everyone who came out to see our shows this weekend!
our friday show was a blast as we hit the stage at toronto’s legenday el mocambo with aurora red, rising revolution, inferno, vanishing point, harley quinn and wicked sceptor among others. what made the show even more special was winning second place as part of the supernova bandwars series!
special thanks go out to our fans that attended, the judges, the promoters, the staff at the el mo and all the new friends we met that made the night so great!
our show the next day was as amazing, as brampton showed off its rock colours at the hype on saturday! jaxx entertaiment put on an amazing show, with dali circus, dame, destain, before sunrise and in the wake. it was our first time sharing the stage with all of the bands, and we had a great time!
special thanks (and hellos) go out to our fans that attended, jaxx entertaiment, the staff at the hype and all the new friends we met!
for those who haven’t had a chance to see mineseye in the flesh, saturday’s performance was filmed, and we should have a song or two up in a little while!
we should have new show announcements over the next week or so of shows planned through to the end of 2006.

it’s been a while, but we’ve been busy!
our first show in hamilton on august 18th was by far the hottest show that we have ever played, and that means both the temperature in the club and the sounds that were coming off the stage! thanks to everyone that braved the heat and to the organizers (supernova) and the bands we shared the stage with that night!
mineseye’s next scheduled shows are back to back with a toronto show at the el mocambo on september 22nd presented by supernova, and a matinee performance at the hype in brampton on september 23rd presented by jaxx entertainment. both are all ages, with tickets available through the band for the el mo show, and at the door for the hype show. for more information, drop us a line at info@mineseyemusic.com.

another great show, this time at the smiling buddha bar on college in toronto. our first time there, and thanks go out to wayne for having us play!
it turned out that we did the intimate and acoustic thing, and for those who came out we hope you liked it!

we had an awesome show last night at the ivy bridge. kudos to whp for putting it on, our own matt d for providing sound for the night, and the bands we hit the stage with: the sugar bohemia, the overtones, the matt s trio and soul rebel sound.

wow, another amazing mineseye show! we sent out our electricity into the air, and make bloor west vibrate with the awesome sounds of mineseye! thanks to fletcher, glorothy, ten thousand creatures, and all of the cool people who came out to see us!

mineseye will be performing on tuesday may 9th at clintons tavern in toronto (693 bloor street west). this is a free show, so come early, get a good seat, have a drink or two and get your rock required dosage for the week! doors open at 7:30, with ten thousand creatures at 8pm, mineseye at 9pm and glorothy at 10pm!

thanks again to everyone who came out last night to support our third round performance as part of the emergenza festival!
despite an awesome performance that put us third in a field of seven bands, unfortunately only the top two bands got to move on to the finals. it was a great ending to a set of shows that gave us a chance to meet a lot of new and amazing people and bands! thank you again to all of the people who gave their time (and money!) to support mineseye! pictures are available here

it is the saturday morning after a fantastic show, with many of it’s firsts! first time at holy joe’s. first acoustic show in toronto. it was a great show, thanks to all who could make it.

not much new news. we’ve had our heads down working for the last few weeks. specifically, we spent the last two days in the studio recording tracks for a release in the near future. keep your eyes and ears open. we’ve also been getting ready for our second round show as part of the emergenza festival! it is less than a week away, and we’ve got a killer set planned. we are looking for your support, so if you haven’t got your ticket yet, email us for more information! and if you haven’t told your friends about us, the only logical question i can ask is “why not?!?!?!” we’ll see you soon!

just a quick update, mineseye took part in the big brothers big sisters bowl for kids sake on saturday march 4th at brunswick bowling lanes in brampton. the event is an annual one, and is big brothers big sisters' largest fundraising event. at this point, they've raised a total of $156,000 and that total is still growing! mineseye won for best team spirit.
thanks for all of the support of our friends and families who helped us help make this event special.

since the holidays we have been hard at work, preparing to go into the studio, and getting ready for more shows in the new year. our next big official show at the moment is the emergenza show in february, but we hope to play some shows in between.
